- 100% Carbon Offsetting: We calculate the carbon emissions from every single flight. We then go beyond neutrality by partnering with certified, high-impact carbon offset projects, such as the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project in Kalimantan, which protects peatland forests and orangutan habitats. This ensures that every journey with us contributes to vital conservation efforts elsewhere in Indonesia.
- Wildlife-Conscious Flight Protocols: In close consultation with the Komodo National Park Authority and conservation experts like the Komodo Survival Program, we have developed strict flight protocols. This includes maintaining minimum altitudes over sensitive breeding grounds, avoiding direct overflights of dragon nesting sites on Rinca and Komodo, and modifying approaches to Manta Point to prevent disturbance to marine life.
- Marine Conservation Contribution: A percentage of every tour booking is donated directly to our conservation partners, including the Manta Trust and local initiatives focused on coral reef restoration. This ‘Fly, Conserve’ model turns our guests’ incredible experiences into direct funding for on-the-ground conservation work.

- Efficient Modern Fleet: Our choice of the Bell H125 and Robinson R66 helicopters was partly driven by their modern, fuel-efficient engines, which have a lower emissions profile compared to older aircraft.

This includes everything from the snacks served on our flights, which are prepared by a local catering business in Labuan Bajo, to the hand-woven ‘tenun’ textiles from Manggarai villages that we offer as guest amenities.

This includes contributing to local school supply drives and supporting waste management initiatives like ‘Sampah Komodo’ to help keep Labuan Bajo clean.

All waste generated is meticulously sorted and transported off the islands to certified recycling and processing facilities on mainland Flores, located approximately 20 kilometers away from our primary base, preventing any impact on the fragile marine and terrestrial ecosystems of the National Park.
